Contractor sentenced to serve prison time for ripping off customers

5/24/2017 - Norman, OK -- A Cleveland County judge sentenced a former building contractor to prison time after being found guilty of multiple counts of embezzlement.

Glenn Allen McCoy, 52, reportedly stole hundreds of thousands of dollars for unsuspecting Oklahoma home and business owners.

Some of McCoy's victims were elderly home owners who lost their homes in the May 2013 Moore tornado.

McCoy owned a company called A Better Choice Construction.

McCoy pleaded no contest in February.

McCoy was given a 10-year prison sentence with six years suspended.

Upon his release, McCoy has been ordered to repay $142,873.79 in restitution.

District Judge Thad Balkman called McCoy a "a wolf in sheep's clothing."
