Former Choctaw High School teacher sentenced to jail in rape case involving student.

2/15/2017 - Former Choctaw High School teacher and assistant wrestling coach, Austin Quinton, was sentenced to serve jail time after pleaded guilty to engaging in a sexual relationship with teen student.

Quinton, 25, pleaded guilty to four counts of second-degree rape of a 17-year old female.

As part of Quinton's plea agreement, he was sentenced to one-year in the Oklahoma County Jail. Upon release, Quinton will serve nine years of probation and register as a sex offender for life.

According to court paperwork, Quinton was the teen's teacher and the sexual relationship occurred between August 2015 and December 2015.

Police report finding a nude photo of the teen on Quinton's mobile phone after he was arrested.

Quinton had only been teaching at Choctaw High School since August 11, 2015. Quinton resigned on January 29, 2016.

At the time of his arrest, Quinton listed a home address in Oklahoma City.
