4/28/2017 - Oklahoma City, OK -- A former Edmond property manager has been sentenced to prison and ordered to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in restitution.

Angela Renee Reneau, 53, of Cashion was sentenced this week to 18 months in a federal prison and ordered to pay $400,000 in restitution to former clients and the IRS.

Reneau pleaded guilty in federal court to wire fraud and failure to file an income tax return.

The defense argued that at the heart of Reneau's crimes is a crippling gambling addiction.

Reneau's attorney argued that Reneau had lost her home, her job, her friends and her dignity.

Prior to her sentencing, Reneau had been attending gambling treatment.
